Event postponed, but Ticketmaster won't refund. What are our rights?

My concert was moved to next year and I can't attend. They only offer "resale" options. I'm trying to see if anyone has successfully argued for a full cash refund.

My honest opinion, when purchasing any tickets ,try to insured those tickets, and by simply submitting any documents supporting your case, you will definitely get a full refund plus any hotel accommodations, but I do see you mentioned that the event was moved till next year, so my friend you have enough to resell imo...

Your not going to have any luck ....horrible experience back in 2024. Due to hurricane Helene...couldn't make it roads closed and they didn't care!!! Wouldn't refund anything. Don't bother money lost.

Why did I get kicked back in line for Taylor Swift tickets?

I have been on my phone for hours and my purple line was over half way. I walked my class down the hall and restarted me at the beginning of the line?

Why did this happen? There has GOT to be a better way.

Honestly, because they can't figure out how to run a website. They had months to prepare for this, they knew it was going to be crazy!! It is ridiculous that they did verify tickets and the site still crashed!!. I picked my tickets got all the way to the end clicked read the terms to pay and it took me back to the beginning. 2 times now. It has done the same to my daughter, she has picked her tickets and gone through the pay part and it kicked her out and she can't even get back in. I have been on the website since 9 am this morning it is now 4 pm. I am back at "It's your turn! We are redirecting you!" Ticketmaster and [PERSON_NAME] better be figuring something out for this situation. There is no reason in the world that you should have to wait online for presale tickets for over 7 hours if you have been verified. They aren't even updating anymore.

You can call customer service and have them switch the email that is linked with those tickets so you can access the account. something similar happened to me so I called and had them switch the email linked to my tickets so I could receive updates and whatnot about my event

How do I get my money back quicker

I bought two tickets for little mix but unable to go so sold my tickets back to Ticketmaster they said I would get my money back after the event but it had been cancelled till 2022 now and the saying still have to wait I think this is all wrong happy two take the money off me so I think they should pay up now .

According to Ticketmaster Support, up to 15 days are required after the refund has been processed to appear. If your event is cancelled, you won't need to do anything as Ticketmaster will refund your order automatically for you.
If you still don't see the credit on your statement, please double-check which card you used. Ticketmaster should refund the original card you booked with.
For further assistance please contact Ticketmaster Support by clicking the Contact Us button on the company website.
Please note Ticketmaster Support is provided Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm.

According to the Ticketmaster Faq page, in order to sell your tickets, you should follow the steps below:
  • Enter your ticket barcode or sign into My Account and tap on your order to view your tickets;
  • Click the "Sell" button;
  • Select and price the ticket(s) you'd like to sell;
  • Indicate how you'd like to get paid;
  • Review your listing and you're all set.

Please note that in some cases, only select Ticketmaster events may allow tickets to be resold.

Delivery options are determined by the Ticketmaster clients and can vary from event to event. The company offers a variety of ticket delivery options that vary in price, dependent upon the delivery method chosen.
Each client decides whether to include a facility charge on ticket purchases. These additional fees typically help clients operate and invest back in the venues themselves.
