I just spent an hour on the phone trying to reach customer service to ask about ticket prices. Their website is outdated and missing half the information I need.

Even though they claim they have long box office hours, no one answers. Instead you get the same recorded message over and over again. The messages are garbled (unacceptable for a business), so I couldn't understand most of what I was hearing. I finally gave up.

All I wanted to know is the fee that's charged for ordering tickets. This company is so unprofessional!

Scammed

Ticketmaster - Scammed
Contains 2 confidential files for company representatives
Updated by user Jul 19, 2024

Probably because they have a monopoly over the industry so we can’t avoid them.

Original review Jul 18, 2024
I followed all suggested protocols on Ticketmaster's website to confirm the tickets I purchased were valid. I also immediately validated in chat with Ticketmaster that the tickets were valid and I was safe to make travel arrangements. On July 12, I was told explicitly in writing that my tickets are legit.

On July 15, I spoke with an agent who confirmed my tickets are legit and valid. I was concerned due to the disappearance of the barcode in my app, so I asked if he could explain the error with the barcodes and was transferred to another agent who was incredibly unhelpful and told me the tickets had been surrendered. I did not surrender the tickets. She told me I need to contact the original owner, whom I do not know and repeatedly interrupted me when I desperately asked for help, details or clarification. Ticketmaster's policy is that only the most recent ticket holder (transfer) holds a valid ticket, so how were mine taken without my knowledge? I was never warned about this possible loophole; nor does your website warn about the possibility. Ticketmaster's site explicitly states once tickets are transferred, the original owner no longer has access and their tickets are no longer valid.

My tickets were purchased legitimately according to all guidelines and recommendations provided by Ticketmaster and then validated by Ticketmaster multiple times before being stolen from my account. This is fraud and it’s being legalized and allowed by Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster is perpetuating a new scam where sellers are able to transfer real tickets, collect real money and then falsely report them as stolen to get to keep both! Ticketmaster is aware of the scam, doesn't advertise or warn about it, and won't protect you as a fair and honest consumer.

To add, I received a letter in the mail today that my account was affected by a data breach. Is that related to this issue? Did this cause all of the chaos in my account? I can't get anyone at Ticketmaster to answer this for me. I have the letter in hand and screenshots of all written correspondence and can provide to anyone who needs it to get this resolved. Ticketmaster will only provide fair service if you purchase via their resale platform ensuring they are paid fees twice for the same ticket. They are doubling down on the monopoly they have over the industry. It was impossible for me to get a ticket via their platform during the presale disaster and now it's equally impossible for me to even get one paying astronomical prices via resale because I'll never have a guarantee they won't allow the original seller to take it back.

Ticketmaster continues to give me mixed information and misinformation with some agents still claiming my tickets are valid! One representative said she escalated this for supervisor help and the next agent said that request was never made. I need legitimate tickets reissued in a safe way that will not be able to be surrendered without my permission or completely new tickets issued. I am even happy to purchase new tickets at a fair price.

It is unfair and unethical for Ticketmaster to say 'I can assure you your ticket is legit' (their words not mine, see screenshot) and then go back on that with no warning and at no fault of mine!

I'm not a seller. My tickets for tonight's concert in Dallas were transferred out of my account to someone without my knowledge.

I'm not trying to scam for refund. I just want my tickets. I've been trying to get help since Tuesday & there's no way to speak to the higher ups.

Everything is through the chat or email telling me it's been escalated, "Since your event is coming up, we've prioritized your request... Thank you for your patience." I've spent a lot of money & I've completely lost all of my confidence in this company.

Tickets package from On Location but sold on Ticket master.

Ticketmaster - Tickets package from On Location but sold on Ticket master.

So I purchased 2 tickets plus 2 Touchdown Club passes for the upcoming superbowl.

I can't make it so I figured I would sell the package. This is the problem.

On Location LLC only allows you to sell on Ticket Master, Ticket master will only let you sell the tickets...Not the complete package.

So I have no way of letting a potential buyer know that I also have 2 passes for The Touchdown Club. Such a scam between both On Location and Ticket Master.

Never again.

Poor Customerattention to data breach issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Feb 13, 2025

Sent email to legal. February 13, 2025I've contacted theTicketmater twice.

First via customer service phone. They responded with getting a message to their fraud department. NO RESPONSE.A week later, I sent an email via their website. NO RESPONSEThis is unprofessional and highly disconcerting since this is a fraud issue.

How can I consciously use this business when they are not responsive and do not care about keeping their customer's personal information safe and private. My information was breached in 2024. My personal information was found on the dark web. Now I must use an internet monitoring system and freeze all 3 credit bureaus.

Do you know what a nightmare it is to work with the credit bureaus when you are applying for credit? UNACCEPTABLE!

Updated by user Feb 05, 2025

For any company to not have the proper security for precluding data, breaches of their customers, personal information is unprofessional and unacceptable. The stress a customer has to go through with all three credit bureaus in freezing, un freezing, fraud alerts, removing fraud alerts in order to get a loan or new credit cards is stressful and time consuming.

Why do I want to work with a company that does this to their customers? Shame on them and that’s why I haven’t bought tickets since this time.

Original review Feb 05, 2025
Who wants to do business with a company that cannot secure their customers personal information? Data breaches are unacceptable by any company.

That is why I have not bought tickets from Ticketmaster since this event. When this happens, you put customers in a very stressful situation having to deal with all three credit bureaus placing freezes or fraud alerts. Then having to remove them when they apply for new loans or credit cards.

You made your customers lives difficult. Why do I wanna work with a company that does that to their customers?

Denied discount coupon for regional frozen four hockey tickes

I purchased tickets for the NCAA D1 Men's Ice Hockey Toledo Regional - All Session. The order number is #20-3****-DET.

There was a code, HOCKEYWEEK, for a $10 discount on each Regional ticket purchase. However, when I went to checkout, the HOCKEYWEEK code was not accepted. I entered the code several times, but it was still not accepted. Your site stated that it was an invalid code.

I purchased the tickets before they were sold out in the section I wanted. I called Ticketmaster yesterday (2/18/2025). Your representative said that since I had already purchased the tickets, Ticketmaster would not honor the HOCKEYWEEK discount code on the Regional tickets. I explained that the Ticketmaster website would not honor the code even though Ticketmaster advertised the $10 ticket discount for each hockey regional.

Your representative said there was nothing he could do since I had already purchased the tickets. I am just looking for Ticketmaster to honor their $10 discount as advertised.

Pros:
  • Easy access to my tickets
Cons:
  • High fees associated with every ticket price

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: I talk with two Ticketmaster representatives. The answer was the same. THE HOCKEYWEEK is not a promo code to applied at the time of checkout like 99% of advertised promo discount codes. You have to go into seating chart and open the open the very small Unlock box located there and then enter the HOCKEYWEEK code to access the seats that are covered under the promo code. The two seats that I purchased were covered under the promo code. However, because I purchased the seats without entering the code under the Unlock box. I did not qualify for the discount. Ticketmaster told that I had to put my two tickets up for resale and buy two more tickets in order to receive the discount. I think this is a scam by Ticketmaster because they did not provide specific instructions on to how to redeem the HOCKEYWEEkK discount code on their website and then did not discount the tickets after the fact when the tickets I purchased were covered by the promo code.

Sadden loyal customer

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I often go to Ticketmaster to purchase my entertainment tickets. Ticketmaster partnered with *** Show promoter for a show in Philadelphia called *** Show.

The flyer named a variety of artists. Two of the artists did not show (ticket holders were not made aware), and the headliner of the show was the first to perform. Of course, there were other occurrences that made this show so unorganized. However, when I contacted Ticketmaster to share with them that I purchased three tickets for $600 and something needed to be done, the customer service representative shared she could not assist.

I told this lady I had video-timed proof that the headline artist went on first. She told me she was informed he went on last and she was sorry. Money is hard to come by these days, and this was truly unprofessional not to be able to compensate at least the service charges.

Ticketmaster does not stand by what they claim, which is that they appreciate their customers. I have proof of purchase and was unable to upload it, shaking my head.
